Dilli Haat is a socio-cultural complex with a 'bazaar' feel to it. Situated in the heart of Delhi, close to the INA Metro Station, is the unique Dilli Haat, established in 1994. It is an urban version of the traditional weekly market, with a delightful mix of craft, food and culture. At Dilli Haat, one can enjoy the unique experience of ethnic India.
It is a perfect place to buy costume jewellery, incense sticks, hand-made cloth bags, traditional dresses and home accessories. For food, traditional delicacies from all over the country are served. There are 25 food stalls serving regional cuisines.
Aesthetically laid out
The architectural features of the complex have been especially designed in the traditional North Indian style, with brickwork jali (lattice) and stone roofs.
A hall in the complex specifically caters to exhibitions of handlooms and handicrafts.A souvenir shop, also displays attractive ethnic products.
The small thatched roof cottages and kiosks, without any concrete structures provide for a village atmosphere.
The shops are set up on platforms, which act as a link in the Bazaar design. The courtyards between the shops are paved in stone and interspaced with grass to exude a visual softness.

Dilli Haats - INA, Pitampura and Janakpuri also hosted the Dilli Haat Utsav - a flagship Tourism promotion festival of Delhi Tourism in collaboration with Department of Art, Culture and Languages (Govt. of Delhi). Artists from every corner of the city were invited to showcase their talents, here.Dilli Haats are now coming out as the new cultural joints in Delhi and festivities and celebrations rarely end here. Local as well as International tourists are offered a lively and active hangout - a window to the whole of India. The cultural offerings give the visitor an alternative arena for spending time and discovering India's exclusivity comprising three Cs - Crafts, Cuisine & Culture.

Dilli Haat gives you the opportunity to buy directly from the rural crafts people who are given space on a rotational basis. They come from all over the country, exhibit and sell their creations for a period of two weeks each. There are 166 craft stalls in all.
This place has been the creative venue for thousands of handicraft and handloom artisans, providing an excellent shopping e xperience to everyone.

Different and appealing, this first Dilli Haat is located in one of the most important commercial centres of South Delhi, opposite INA Market.
The 6.27 acres of land on which this sprawling complex is situated was salvaged as part of a reclamation project and transformed into a magnificent dream plaza.
